The doctor considers that hearing has many more functions than those identified. In addition to listening and helping to maintain balance, the auditory sense increases the brain’s electrical potential.

He concluded that hearing can help stimulate people’s overall learning and development, which can be stimulated by certain sounds, improving communication and learning, particularly in infants and young children. It also improves motor skills and balance.

What is the Tomatis method?

This method consists of a music therapy based on listening to Mozart’s compositions, Gregorian chants and the mother’s voice, filtered at certain high frequencies, and even from when the little ones are still in the mother’s womb.

Through this method, the attempt is to avoid a relaxation of the middle ear muscles that some babies may unconsciously develop, blocking certain sound stimuli.

We can develop our baby’s hearing ourselves from when he’s still in our tummy by listening to the aforementioned songs.

Studies confirm that Mozart’s music has a direct influence on babies’ development, both creatively and intellectually. Psychologists, educators, speech therapists and physicians recommend this treatment.

How to develop baby’s intelligence

  1. Create a bond with the baby.
According to Tracy Cutchlow, writer of the book “Reglas Cerebres for Babies”, the brain seeks security and when it does not feel a safe environment, it becomes more difficult to learn. It is very important to provide your child with security.
One of the surest ways to provide your baby with security is to maintain a solid relationship with your partner. Also, talk often massage and establish skin contact with your child, these  are excellent forms.
  2. Tell your child about your day.
One of the ways to develop a baby’s intelligence is to talk to him a lot when he is still in the womb. Studies confirm that babies who listen a lot to their mother talk to them when they turn 3 years old have a ratio 1.5 times higher.
Everything varies according to the number of words, the amount and complexity of them. When you tell your child about your day, you say many words that work perfectly.
  3. Communicate with him “face to face”.
If you like making funny faces at your baby, do it! This is an excellent way to develop your intelligence. According to some studies, babies begin to recognize facial expressions at 3 and 4 months of age. At 5 months they begin to recognize emotions on faces; between 7 and 9 months they can already understand the gestures of a dog or a monkey.
Verbal communication will allow your baby, in the future, to work better as a team, have fewer arguments, and stronger relationships.
  4. Point out the objects.
Studies confirm that babies learn much faster if you point objects at them.
First, your baby will look at you when he points to something, then as he grows up, he’ll start looking at objects. After 9 months, he will be the one to show you the objects. Always try to point your child at objects.

With these tips, it will be much simpler to get the results you want . The most important thing is to enjoy these moments with your children. You will notice that these actions will strengthen the bond between mother and child, in addition to deepening the emotional bond with many good times.
