Bath, A Sweet Relaxation For The Baby

The bath, a sweet relaxation for the baby

Water provides a pleasant sensation to babies, it is a natural relaxant. Among other reasons, this is because the babies lived for nine months in the warm waters in our belly, which provided an environment full of tranquility. That’s why bathing is so important to them.

Bathing makes babies feel at home. It produces a feeling of tranquility and peace that dampens the hostility of the real world and the everyday stress that is so intense you can take it in your hands. The bathing experience is so engrossing and sweet that babies feel a great sense of well-being.

Bathing is a wonderful relaxant that transports the baby to a state of relaxation that makes them flow. It regulates the perception of the world babies have just come to know and, of course, allows them to move around easily.

The bathing ritual during the first year of life

As this is an ideal time to rest, it is good to give babies a bath (without soap) every day. In addition to reassuring the little one, bathing allows us to carefully maintain the hygiene of our babies. It also ends up involving us in this wonderful feeling of pleasure together.

It’s great that, from time to time, we can share bath time with our baby. We can dive into the water and make bubbles of soap on his little tummy. This moment will be, for both the baby and the mother (or the father) an important point of inner connection.

The bath time is a special and vital occasion that rebuilds us and helps us to leave behind the regrets, worries and constant disconnection from the small pleasures of daily life and the creation of our little ones.

The harmony of water movement

As we were saying, the baby’s bath is pure harmony in its movement. It should not be a daily imposition or obligation. But an opportunity for happiness and pleasure, for new discoveries and games that will help the child to get to know himself and the world around him.

It doesn’t take long for parents to realize that fighting to get out of the water will become a habit throughout childhood. For the little ones this is a magnificent place to have fun and to reconcile with their exploratory nature.

For them, water is a source of sensations and fascination that will never fail to amaze our little ones. The reflections, the movements, the waves make them excited. As well as the freedom to move and the feeling of being far removed from the prison of gravity.

However, at bath time, we should know that using soap every day is not necessary. In fact, it’s not recommended. A baby doesn’t get dirty like an adult. Furthermore, it regulates the cleanliness of the skin itself naturally.

In fact, up to twelve months, some people recommend bathing up to three times a week. Because babies’ skin is much thinner and more sensitive than that of a child or an adult. Thus, if we choose to bathe every day, due to the benefits of contact with water for babies, we should not always use soaps or shampoos, which, after all, can harm the baby’s delicate skin.

Another important aspect is that, as the pediatrician will tell us, until the umbilical cord falls (and it usually falls between the first and third week) we should not submerge the baby’s body in water. That’s why, while that moment doesn’t come, we can clean the little ones with sponges.

It is also important that, in the first phase of life, we do not bathe babies in an adult bathtub. We should bathe on a high, sturdy surface so that we can have everything we need at hand for this moment.

In the beginning, just fill it with 5 or 7 centimeters of warm water (32 ÂșC or so) and provide a sweet bath with care and delicacy. We must transform this moment into a place of meeting and mutual knowledge, full of satisfaction and tranquility.
